The wholesale and retail is one of the biggest sectors in South Africa. Wholesalers and retailers are in the business of re-selling goods that have been purchased from suppliers. They bring goods produced in the province, or imported from other regions and countries, to the marketplace where they can be purchased by consumers. This course is aimed at learners wishing to enter the Wholesale and Retail sector for employment opportunities. At the end of the course, leaners will gain understanding of the nature of the Wholesale and Retail Sector and will be able to identify the key features of the sector. Learners will also understand the difference between wholesalers and retailers, and their roles in the supply chain network.
